Wet lease partnerships

In wet lease arrangements, airlines enter into mutual agreements with one another and operate flights on each other’s behalf. The airline provides their aircraft, including cockpit and cabin crew, as well as maintenance and insurance for a defined period of time. In order to reliably operate all scheduled flights, especially during the high season in summer, we rely on the support of other airlines. This year, Lufthansa will be supporting Discover Airlines in this way.

We lease most aircraft exclusively during busy months. Outside this period, they are in regular use with the respective wet lease airlines. Therefore, it makes sense to leave the aircraft with their original branding.

In Business Class, you can enjoy Lufthansa menus. For Economy Class passengers, the Onboard Delights menu is available. Please note that the Onboard Cloud is not available on wet lease flights. Instead, you can use an Internet connection for a fee when flying with Lufthansa. Messaging is free of charge on all Lufthansa wet lease flights.
