Check-in at Frankfurt Airport

The Discover Airlines check-in counters at Frankfurt Airport usually open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure. Self-service check-in and baggage machines are available in Hall A and Hall B.

In addition, all Discover Airlines passengers can check in the night before (see below).

Note: Due to ongoing modernization work at Frankfurt Airport, you’ll check in in different areas with Discover Airlines depending on your travel class.

Economy check-in Frankfurt

At Frankfurt Airport, you can easily check in your baggage yourself. To do so, scan your boarding pass at one of the kiosks in Hall A or Hall B, and then attach the baggage tag to the long side of your item of baggage. As an Economy passenger, you will find additional check-in counters in Terminal 1 (Hall B) in Zone 14 at counters 441–444.

Priority check-in Frankfurt

For a more comfortable start to your journey, priority check-in in Terminal 1 (Hall A) in Zone 11 is available at counters 121–122. The area is located in proximity to Lufthansa's First Class Area. Priority check-in is available for:

  • Business Class Passengers
  • Premium Economy Passengers
  • Miles & More HON Circle members (HON)
  • Miles & More Senators (SEN)
  • Miles & More Frequent Travellers (FTL)
  • United MileagePlus members Gold, Platinum, Premier (same as STAR Gold)
  • Air Canada Aeroplan members Super Elite, 75K, 50K (same as STAR Gold)
  • ITA Airways Volare Premium & Executive members

If you need assistance or have questions about your trip, you will find our service desks in Terminal 1 (Hall B) in Zone 14 near counters 441–444.

Late-night check-in Frankfurt

If you are an Economy or a Priority guest and want to start your journey even more relaxed, you can check in your baggage the day before.

You can use check-in and baggage drop-off at all self-service kiosks in Halls A and B. In addition, check-in counters 441–444 in Terminal 1 (Hall B) in Zone 14 are available to you. Late-night check-in is open the day before the flight from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is available no earlier than 23 hours prior to departure.

As an adult traveling family member, you can also check in baggage for other family members. To do this, you will need the travel documents as well as the official identification documents of the relevant persons.

Check-in at Munich Airport

The Discover Airlines check-in counters are located at Munich Airport Terminal 2, Level 4 at the Lufthansa counters, which are also marked "Discover Airlines". You can also check in at any Lufthansa check-in machine.

The machines are available from 3:30 a.m., and the manned check-in counters are available from 4:15 a.m. Check-in closes 60 minutes before departure.

Business Class and Premium Economy Class passengers can use the Lufthansa Business Class check-in in Munich.

Late-night check-in in Munich

You can check in online starting 30 hours before departure, and check in your baggage at a self-service baggage drop-off kiosk in Terminal 2, Level 4, the night before departure — no earlier than 23 hours before departure.

You can use any Lufthansa check-in machine for baggage drop-off. As an adult traveling family member, you can also check in baggage for other family members. To do this, you will need the travel documents and the official identification documents of your family members.
