Register an animal for transport in the cabin

You have the option of traveling with your cat or dog in the cabin on your Discover Airlines flight. Please register your pet no later than 72 hours before departure. Upon receipt of your request, you will receive an email confirmation of whether the requested service can be confirmed. Register cat or dog

We will check availability and book your pet’s transport in the cabin for your next Discover Airlines flight. We will inform you by email whether the requested service can be confirmed. If the booking is successful, you must pay the applicable fees at the check-in counter at the airport.

Requirements
  • Bookings for dogs entering the USA are accepted only for Philadelphia. Exception: guests traveling on a military/government fare may also enter the USA with dogs at other airports, provided all other requirements are met.
  • Book at least 72 hours before departure.
  • Only available on flights operated by Discover Airlines.
  • Only animals from the EU/EEA are allowed to enter Alta and Evenes.
  • Maximum travel carrier dimensions: no more than 118 cm total circumference (55 x 40 x 23 cm)
  • Maximum weight: 8 kg (including travel carrier)
  • The travel carrier must be softly padded, leak-proof, odor-proof, and large enough to allow the animal to stand, lie down, and turn around in a natural position.
  • Your animal is clean and healthy and doesn’t bother passengers. It is neither dangerous nor pregnant, and it doesn’t smell.
  • You are required to present the necessary documents for health, entry and transfer at the airport
  • Country-specific restrictions and exceptions may apply to certain aircraft types.
  • The minimum age of the animal for travel to/from Germany is 15 weeks.
  • As of 08/01/2024, only dogs that are at least 6 months old can be accepted for travel to the USA.
  • For check-in, please present the following form for transporting a cat/dog as additional carry-on baggage in the passenger cabin:
