Passengers requiring wheelchairs

Destination airports and Discover Airlines will provide assistance to passengers with wheelchair needs with boarding and disembarking, both on the non-gate position and on board. Please notify us of any assistance required before your flight, either by telephone via the Discover Airlines Service Center at +49 (0) 69 86 798 200 from Monday to Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., or online:

To ensure that you receive the best possible assistance, please inform us of your assistance needs up to 48 hours before departure.
The following services can be booked:

  • Wheelchair assistance to/from the departure gate (WCHR) - If you are unable to walk long distances, but can mount the steps to the airplane.
  • Wheelchair assistance to/from the airplane door (WCHS) - If you are unable to walk long distances or cannot mount steps, but are able to move around the aircraft.
  • Wheelchair assistance to/from the airplane seat (WCHC) - If you are unable to walk.

Transporting your own battery-powered wheelchair

To book your own battery-powered wheelchair, please send the request form below to [email protected]. We will check whether it is possible to transport your power wheelchair based on the information you provide.

Please note: effective October 1, 2025, wheelchairs or other mobility assistance with a permanently installed, non-removable lithium battery are limited to a maximum of 2 batteries, each with a maximum of 160Wh. If your booking was confirmed before October 1, 2025, your wheelchair or mobility assistance will continue to be transported.

Yes, if we confirmed your wheelchair/mobility assistance before October 1, 2025, it will be transported as booked.

Yes, if you started your journey before October 1, 2025, your wheelchair/mobility assistance will be transported as confirmed.
