Upgrades
Is your holiday flight getting closer, and the anticipation growing? Whether to surprise your loved ones or simply treat yourself to that little extra, with Discover Airlines you can upgrade your flight even until shortly before your departure. Our Premium Economy Class and Business Class provide plenty of extra comfort and excellent service and are well worth an upgrade.
You can add an upgrade to your booking for an additional payment or by redeeming miles. On short-haul routes, you can upgrade from Economy Class to Business Class. On long-haul routes, you have the option of upgrading from Economy Class to Premium Economy Class or Business Class, as well as from Premium Economy to Business Class.
- You can easily add an upgrade to your booking in advance for an additional payment on lufthansa.com. In addition, an upgrade can be purchased at the airport or on board, subject to availability.It is also possible to upgrade for an additional payment on package holidays. Please contact our Service Center with your request no earlier than 48 hours before departure. You can have an upgrade booked for you by quoting your tour operator transaction number which you will have received when you booked your package holiday, and the surname which you gave when booking. You then pay for your upgrade at the airport on your day of departure.
- All Miles & More members can now book an upgrade with their accrued miles on Discover Airlines flights and enjoy an even more relaxed start to their holiday. As with the upgrade for an additional payment, you can upgrade to the class you want on both short and long-haul routes.
Mileage upgrades can be booked as usual via the Miles & More website and the Miles & More call center, as well as from Discover Airlines at the airport, subject to availability.
If you are on a package holiday, you can also upgrade by redeeming miles. Please contact Miles & More with your request no earlier than 48 hours before departure. You can have an upgrade booked for you by quoting the name which you gave when booking, your Miles & More service card number and your flight.
Please note that an upgrade with miles on a Discover Airlines flight is only possible if your reservation was made under flight number 4Y.
