With Discover Airlines, you can upgrade your flight until just before departure. Our Premium Economy Class and Business Class offer extra comfort, first-class service, and they are definitely worth an upgrade.
Upgrades can be added to your booking for a supplement, at your desired price or with miles. You can upgrade from Economy Class to Business Class on your short-haul flight. On long-haul flights, you have the option of upgrading from Economy Class to Premium Economy or Business Class to Business Class, as well as from Premium Economy to Business Class.

You can easily add an upgrade to your booking in advance by paying a supplement. Depending on availability, you may still be able to upgrade during online check-in, at the airport or once on board.
The system automatically checks which of your flights are eligible for an upgrade. Click the “Upgrade” link in your booking, confirm your selection for the flight or flights on which you want an upgrade, and then enter your payment details. You will receive a booking confirmation to the email address you provided.
It is also possible to add an upgrade to package holidays by paying a supplement. This applies to customers traveling on packages from the following companies as well as their respective subsidiaries: TUI, Dertour, Schauinsland, Alltours, Vtours, Olimar, LMX, Anex Tour, Aurum Tours, Bentour, ETI, Eurowings Holiday, Ferien Touristik, Coral Travel, Lufthansa Holidays, Flamingo Tours, Frosch Sportreisen, Pepxpress and Weloveholidays TUI Cruise and AIDA (excluding full charter flights, which are identified by a four-digit flight number starting with the number “2”, i.e. 4Y2xxx).
Upgrade at your desired price (place a bid)
Submit a personalized price bid for an upgrade on your Discover Airlines flight and, with a bit of luck, enjoy a new travel experience at a price you choose. We will notify you of the outcome of your bid for an upgrade by email. You will be notified no later than 24 hours before the scheduled departure.
Upgrade with miles
On Discover Airlines flights, all Miles & More customers can now book an upgrade with the miles they have earned and start their vacation feeling even more relaxed. Just like an upgrade for a supplement, you can upgrade to your cabin of choice on both short-haul and long-haul flights.

There is also the option of an upgrade for miles on package holidays. Please contact Miles & More with your request no earlier than 48 hours before your departure. You can book an upgrade by providing the name you entered when booking, your Miles & More service card number, and your flight number.
Please note that an upgrade with miles on a Discover Airlines flight is only possible if your reservation has been made under flight number 4Y.
General information about upgrades
Can I rebook a ticket containing a booked upgrade?
If your trip contains a booked upgrade, please contact our Service Center if you wish to rebook it. For technical reasons, it is unfortunately not possible to rebook such a ticket on discover-airlines.com. Rebooking is subject to the terms and conditions of the fare originally booked.
Will an upgrade be refunded in case of cancellation?
For cancellations via discover-airlines.com, any upgrade amounts already paid are non-refundable. You can easily request a cancellation and refund for your ticket online.
What happens to my upgrade in the event of flight irregularities?
In the event of flight irregularities starting two days before departure, rebooking will be done in the original travel class under the original fare conditions; the upgrade payment will be refunded in full. If the irregularities occur one day before departure or on the day of departure, your trip will be rebooked with the full benefits of the new travel class (including confirmed and paid upgrades).
